We all have a story. At one of our meetings earlier in the MOPS year, it was beautiful to look around the room and see moms sharing openly about their story….those moments that shape us, grow us, inspire us. For some, it was hard to express in words, so there were tears as parts of their story were shared for the first time.
Be You Bravely challenged each of us recognize the ways that we are courageous. For 24 mom in our group, that meant that they stood on stage and shared part of their story. It was their Brave Moment as they unlocked parts of their past and allowed others to hear how they were brave! The experiences shared varied from overcoming abuse, having an honest conversation with their mom, letting go of control during kid homework, facing infertility and choosing adoption, sitting with a friend in need rather than doing/baking for that friend, walking through the valley of a stillbirth, releasing the pain of divorce and choosing to live, forgiveness extended to a cheating spouse, sticking through the tough times of marriage, depression, severe anxiety paired with panic attacks, and surrendering to Gods plan of moving 5 states away on Faith and it was not easy physically, emotionally or financially.
These moms are AMAZING!! They shared their struggles and how they were able to overcome and the tools they use continue to live each day! SO BRAVE!
If you are interested in sharing your story, let one of the Coordinators know! We’d love to hear your story…..it’s only yours to tell!
