How great was MOPS this week? This week was a little lighter on the heart, but just as touching. Thank you to the mamas who shared their brave moments! Have a brave moment? Don’t worry it can be drama and heart ache-free. It’s whatever a brave moment is for you if you’d like to share; let us know! Be you, bravely!
The courage to try was the topic this week. Thought provoking yet fun questions such as “When was last time you did something for the first time?” For most of us, it’s been a while! We made no-sew/tie blankets that will be donated to Winnie Palmer hospital, how cute were those?! These blankets have been a hit with the patients and families in the past, and a true blessing for a little piece of comfort for the families. Who doesn’t love a cuddly blanket?
This month’s service project is “Free the girls” bring your gently used (or new inexpensive bra) any and all sizes, to the next meeting, these bras will be donated and the women of the organization, who have a past of sex trafficking are able to sell them, with this organization they are able to live above the minimum wage of their country. Mug exchange is back! This is a favorite we just can’t part with! Bring a mug, stuffed with goodies valued at $5 total; including what’s stuffed inside.
The next MOPS meeting, December 2nd|3rd. is our Christmas celebration, we will have live music and amazing speakers! This is when we will have our mug exchange, don’t forget to bring one! Side note: Real Life’s Women’s ministry is hosting its annual Real Women Christmas event with a guest speaker, all women are welcome to attend, December 1st 7 pm in the Main Auditorium.
